already mentioned at the end of the initial message : rdiff-backup -v1 --create-full-path $DIR ${SSH_URI}${DIR} rdiff-backup -v1 --remove-older-than 7D --force ${SSH_URI}${DIR} BTW : - the local server is 1.3.3 and the distant server is still 1.2.8 - the official stable version is still 1.2.8 and 1.3.3 a "development/unstable version" as stated at http://www.nongnu.org/rdiff-backup/
I got it to work! The source server (the local one) and the destination server must be 1.3.3 otherwise wou'll get this fatal error
@app-backup: Should we close this? It seems the OP found the cause. (I may make a case to keep this in the tree and having one fewer bug will help.)
