we're not going to filter this specifically. -g/-ggdb flags should not affect generated code at all.

Did this occur with earlier versions of glibc or did this first occur with glibc 2.13? Also, is anyone working on this?
I didn't experience it with any earlier version, but I didn't have the 3 in -ggdb3 with any earlier version.
I'm pretty sure I hit this before 2.13 — given that I complained about this particular issues in a 2008 blog post, and glibc-2.13 was added to the tree in 2001. It makes it more likely I hit it with 2.7 or so.
