The output of "glewinfo"

I don't have support for OpenGL 3.x on Mesa 8.0.x.

The output of "glxinfo" (see attachment) always shows support for OpenGL 2.1 only. Looking at the output of "glewinfo" (see attachment) shows that my Radeon HD6850 card supports OpenGL up to version 4 (including OpenGL3.x).

I tried rebuilding mesa with and without the following USE-flags: "egl", "gbm", "gles1", "gles2", "openvg", "osmesa", "shared-dricore", "shared-glapi".
I also tried rebuilding with the "radeon" and/or the "r600" VIDEO_CARDS (see emerge-mesa.txt attachment).

So please give me a hint why OpenGL3.x is not working on my setup?

Your graphics chipset is not among the ones which have OpenGL 3 support in mesa-8.0. We have no plans to backport OpenGL 3 for radeon from git master.
