Description Andrew 2012-03-14 12:36:25 UTC
I've tried installing some Qt libraries, and qt-core and qt-gui compiled and installed successfully, but qt-xmlpatterns failed.

The output of 'emerge --info =x11-libs/qt-xmlpatterns-4.7.4' is here: http://gentoo.pastebin.ca/2128084

The output of 'emerge -pqv =x11-libs/qt-xmlpatterns-4.7.4' is
# emerge -pqv =x11-libs/qt-xmlpatterns-4.7.4
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/qt-xmlpatterns-4.7.4 USE="(-aqua) -debug -pch"

The complete build log is here: http://gentoo.pastebin.ca/2128086

> libtiff.cpp:42:20: fatal error: tiffio.h: No such file or directory
I guess that's ok, because I haven't "tiff" useflag neither libtiff installed.

Isn't the trick in lines

Comment 5 Davide Pesavento (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-03-15 10:49:00 UTC
Please check that the filesystem where /var/tmp/portage resides has some free space.
Comment 6 Andrew 2012-03-15 11:26:23 UTC
Davide, I seem to be ok with free space:

# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 373G 2.8G 370G 1% /
udev 10M 164K 9.9M 2% /dev
/dev/sda1 373G 2.8G 370G 1% /
rc-svcdir 1.0M 48K 976K 5% /lib/rc/init.d
cgroup_root 10M 0 10M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
shm 125M 0 125M 0% /dev/shm
Comment 7 Davide Pesavento (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-03-16 14:48:18 UTC
Is the failure reproducible? i.e. if you retry to emerge qt-xmlpatterns, does it fail in exactly the same way, same error message, etc...?
Comment 8 Andrew 2012-03-16 23:34:39 UTC
Damn, I've tried emerging it again, and it went ok. I guess that was some sort of hard disk malfunction (it's quite old on that machine). So I'm unable to reproduce it even by myself.

Thanks for testing. I am marking this bug as invalid then
