detox -c my_detoxrc -L -v
     Will list the sequences within my_detoxrc, showing their filters and options.

This has to be: 
detox -f my_detoxrc -L -v

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
atti@spirit ~ $ detox -c my_detoxrc -L -v
unknown option: -c

man detox



atti@spirit ~ $ eix detox
* app-misc/detox
     Available versions:  1.2.0 (~)1.2.0-r1
     Installed versions:  Version:   1.2.0-r1
                          Date:      13:39:33 16.02.2012
     Best versions/slot:  (~)1.2.0-r1

Could you please report this issue upstream? I will backport any fix.

It's already reported upstream on 2010-07-24

Not sure if detox is stille developed further. The last update was 2008-04-12 and there are some feature requests and bugs in the queue.
