Hi there, when Kshutdown is installed, emerge -uDN world produces dependency errors like these. “emerge -C kshutdown” resolves these issues. Kshutdown may be installed again after world update with “--nodeps” option without problems.
I think this may have just come from having an odd combination of QT and KDE versions installed, rather than from KShutdown itself.

But the good news is: kde-misc/kshutdown was bumped by Chris Reffett in kde overlay (Thank you Chris) and moved to tree by me. The new version is working with Qt 4.8 and KDE 4.8.
