emerge -uDN world while kshutdown-2.1beta is installed.

Hi there,

when Kshutdown is installed, emerge -uDN world produces dependency errors like these. “emerge -C kshutdown” resolves these issues. Kshutdown may be installed again after world update with “--nodeps” option without problems.

I think this may have just come from having an odd combination of QT and KDE versions installed, rather than from KShutdown itself.

I am sorry for you, but you are mixing stable and testing branch. But the good news is: kde-misc/kshutdown was bumped by Chris Reffett in kde overlay (Thank you Chris) and moved to tree by me. The new version is working with Qt 4.8 and KDE 4.8.

Well okay, thanks for the information. I never had a problem like this and because of that I thought it’s a bug in the package.

Thanks and have a nice weekend.
