Several batch systems and even MPI libs support blcr. Package for blcr itself is still in science overlay only (bugs #284983 and #215183). I version bumped the ebuild and added a check for kernel version < 2.6.30, respectively < 2.6.38 for the latest ebuild.

I think sys-cluster/torque and other batch systems should be improved to respect USE=blcr and require this package.
