well well well.. pmars is is one of those corewar programs: "Core War is a game played by two or more programs (and vicariously by their authors) written in an assembly language called Redcode and run in a virtual computer called MARS (for Memory Array Redcode Simulator). The object of the game is to cause all processes of the opposing program to terminate, leaving your program in sole posession of the machine." (as stated in the rec.games.corewar faq) in fact it belongst to the more popular ones in the scene (information: http://www.corewar.info, http://www.koth.org) because of its redcode debugging features, etc.. I am well aware that there already is a corewars program in portage, namely hoffmann's "corewars" (^^), yet i think that pmars is lacking, as the more popular and standard compliant (icws'94) mars program available. pmars-sdl (http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/jpihlaja/cw/pmars-sdl/index.html) is a pmars sdl port, based on the pmars sourceforge project by Anton Marsden (http://sourceforge.net/projects/corewar/). it supports sdl, X11 and svgalib. suggested is games-simulation/pmars-sdl (since the other "corewars" is located there) brx Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Needs to use the games eclass and the official gentoo header from $PORTDIR. Also, src_unpack needs some love. Check some of the other games ebuilds for ideas.
