Description David Vogt 2004-02-07 10:01:55 UTC
KDM 3.2 and any betas i tried do not allow typing, so I'm forced to use GDM at this time. There seems to be no reactionn to any keystroke, not even Ctrl+Alt+F1 does what it should.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Expected Results:
display any characters when a key is pressed... ;)

I reported this to KDE bugs aswell, and there seems to be another Gentoo user
with the same problem, but no answers yet. see

Look at my post at the kde bugs site. It seems that it was a configureation problem in /usr/kde/3.2/share/config/kdm/Xservers, where X was configured for vt7; I was using vt1-vt9 for the console; changing the config in this file to vt10 resolved the problem.

so this can be closed, right? Setting to UPSTREAM, as there is a bug at bugs.kde.org handling this. Thanks.
