Looks like:
http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/pool/main/g/

is not accessible at all now :(, no idea where is new download location

Google has always had directory indexing disabled.

I have a script that parses the Packages file for version bumps:

http://dev.gentoo.org/~floppym/chrome-bump

Should be fixed in CVS now.
