Description Craig Lawson 2004-02-06 21:49:40 UTC
openoffice-bin-1.1.0 Writer crashes instantly on menu access.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install openoffice-bin-1.1.0
2. Open a new writer document
3. Select either the "Edit" or "Insert" menu.

Actual Results:
Menu title highlights, and before menu can display, application crashes.

Expected Results:
Menu should display. No crash.

Running on a Pentium-4. I emerged sync and world just yesterday. I don't
remember whether I ran OOWriter since installing Gentoo; probably not. I
recently upgraded to Gentoo from Red Hat 9 where I was using the same version of
OO. I did not have this problem.

I rebooted to be sure it wasn't some weird runtime state, and immediately after
reboot I tried again. Same thing. Looks like 100% repeatable.

I synced again today and the problem is fixed.

Maybe the original problem was due to an incompatible library?
