No encrypted dvds will playback with libdvdcss 1.2.11 on either x86 or amd64 arches (tested). After bringing back the now deleted 1.2.10 and downgrading to that version, I can playback any encrypted dvd disk I try. I used mplayer as the main program to test with but I also tried mythtv which displayed the same problem since they both rely on libdvdcss. Which version of mplayer did you use for testing? I might remember wrong, but I think libdvdcss .so.1 changed to .so.2 which would mean it needs to be up-to-date mplayer to detect it. mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20110322-r1 does not qualify, and won't be fixed anymore.
