I'm really sorry to not be of any help, but it's the same here. That's why I removed the semantic-desktop entirely from my KDE. nepomuk dies every other minute on simple text files and there seem to be no connections between them, they all look unsuspicious. Maybe it's fixed in 4.8.1? Haven't tried that, but would do so if you say it's worth it.

Maybe it's too early to say something, but yesterday I emerged 4.8.1 and so far no more segfaults from nepomuk/soprano, and file indexing is running. I guess that some days more are needed to be confident of that, but so far so good :)
