Description Martin Mokrejš 2012-02-26 09:56:32 UTC
I wonder whether the dependencies could be handled automatically by gentoo. I do not have eselect-* tools for blas/lapack installed so I think this is the culprit. But as a desperate user I did not ask for their installation yet. ;-) This bug is maybe similar to bug #405807 (same host).

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `lapack.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

To give you an overview of what I do have at the moment:

# emerge -pv blas lapack blas-reference blas-atlas numpy lapack-reference lapacke-reference lapackpp

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

re-emerge lapack-reference from the science overlay, and try again.

also do not install blas-atlas. if you want atlas with the new blas/lapack system, install sci-libs/atlas.

Closing this as this is maybe already fixed in science overlay while it is incompatible with main gentoo repo these days. However, I am not going to fiddle with my install these days as it is prone to break.
