Description André Terpstra 2004-02-06 03:18:48 UTC
I have set up a private mirror; it's not public because I don't have enough upload bandwidth. I had to experiment to find a suitable setup but it's working fine now. However, when I started a month or two ago, the total file size was about 21 GB. So I allocated a 29 GB partition for everything (distfiles, snapshots and portage tree). However it's getting filled already with less than 1 GB of free space available! Am I doing something wrong? I rsync with the --delete option but almost no files in distfiles get deleted...

Of course, resizing this "mirror" partition is a possible solution, but maybe there are others...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

The other solution would be to delete the distfiles that you don't need. There are over 6000 in the tree. Most users only use but a fraction of these.
