that output misses the actual error. Post more out, post your 'emerge info' (always do this !). Abiword 1.0 is sort of unmaintained and i'm planning to remove it from portage as well. It is package.mask-ed, which indicates that it is not supposed to be working/not supported. I suggest your try abiword-2 .
yeah, it isnt sort-of unmaintained, its use is actively discouraged by us upstream (: Even if there is a bug in abiword causing this, it will be completely and totally ignored unless reproduced in 2.0.5 or later. Well, not completely ignored, we'd prolly have the courtesy to give this comment or one like it (: If that werent reason enough, it's been over a month since needinfo, so close this bug please (and get that darned 1.0 out of portage!).
