Description Jan Bruvoll 2002-06-23 09:15:13 UTC
Dear all,

(sorry if this should not be posted into Bugzilla, please tell me where to take
such issues if this is the case)

I am trying to create an ebuild for Intermezzo (replicating file system).
However, this package depends on a slightly changed version of gnome-
base/libghttp, and I am not sure how to handle this. As far as I have seen
(although I will check more thoroughly to be sure), the enhancements only add a
few .h-files, which "should not" break anything, so I guess in this case,
applying a patch to the existing libghttp would be one way to go. OTOH, what is
the recommended procedure in such cases?

Best regards,
Jan

This is the right place :)

What, specifically, are the enhancements to libghttp that are required?

Hi Jan, yes I think a patch would be fine.
When you are done with the Intermezzo ebuild, file it here (bugs.gentoo.org)
along the libghttp patch.
Then we'll see.

Please reopen this bug when you'll be done with that Intermezzo ebuild. Provided
that you are still working on it.
