can you look at scrollkeeper?  I commited the latest version (0.3.14) but since you do text stuff could you give it a lookover?  and when done, add metadata.xml to it as well, not sure wether you'd want this for the text herd or gnome.  Perhaps both.

looks good, text-markup as primary herd, gnome as secondary.
