I am a bit tired of always seen:

        elog "We have reverted back to using upstreams soname."
        elog "Please run revdep-rebuild --library libnss3.so.12 , this"
        elog "will correct most issues. If you find a binary that does"
        elog "not run please re-emerge package to ensure it properly"
        elog " links after upgrade."

messages, could you restrict them to be shown only when old/affected versions were installed before?

Thanks for reporting, the elog has been drop'd from both nss and nspr in the overlay which are version bumps, they will manifest in tree in next day or so.
