Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-05 01:05:47 UTC
Hi,

I'm attaching Evangelion Proxima ebuild, a KDE Splash Screen Theme from KDE-Look ( http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=10541 ).
This is my first try to make working an ebuild for a non-compiled software.

I suggest x11-themes/evangelion-proxima-splash. It depends on kdebase 3.2.

Theme.rc

I forgot to say that the ebuild needs this Theme.rc file to work correctly.

This isnt something I feel belongs in portage. Its only value is aesthetic, and even this is in the eye of the beholder (I think its ugly). Feel free to install whatever cool stuff you want from KDElook, but I wont be adding them to portage.

well I think that single ebuilds for splashscreens, etc. may flood the portage tree, but I would suggest a package instead, maybe called 'kde-splashscreens', and another package like 'kde-widgetsyle' and maybe one called 'gnome-icons' which installs the most widespread splashscreens/widget styles/icons in their category.
