Latest upstream is 2.6.8. There is an overlay belonging to one Donald R. Gray Jr which provides 2.6.6 ...

The ebuild appears to be of good quality. It would be nice to have the latest version in the mainline portage tree at some point.

Tobi oetiker just added a fix for smokeping:

If we bump before this is in a release, we can probably use that commit as-is.

Tobias, many thanks for the new ebuild. Is it just me or does the ChangeLog also need updating? Otherwise, I think the bug can be closed now.
