I don't know if KDE 3.2.0 is still masked for amd64, but it was when I built it, so I thought I'd give a report on the success. All of KDE 3.2.0 built, include kdevelop and quanta, with the exception of kdegames. However, from the error messages received it didn't appear to be an amd64 issue, but rather a kde/gcc issue (the kde code contained the redefinition of several variables that gcc didn't like). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge all of KDE 3.2.0 up to kdegames 2. Inject kdegames 3. emerge the final KDE 3.2.0 ebuild (kde) Actual Results: KDE 3.2.0 is up and running great!!! Now if I can only get hw acceleration for my Radeon 9600 Pro...
Are you maybe referring to the issues with compiling ktron as discussed in Bug 40355?
Yes. The issues related to kdegames were the same with ktron and ksirtet as reported in bug 40355. I didn't include information on it since I didn't take the time to look into it. The intent of this bug report wasn't/isn't to report a KDE bug, but to report an amd64 successful build. But kudos to the KDE Gentoo team if you happen to see this. Great job to have the builds available before/with the KDE release.
guess everything is ok
