Comment 2 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-04 10:29:05 UTC
ali3nx: that looks like it might be space/fs issues. Could you try setting
PORTAGE_TMPDIR to another partition?

Chris: I do not see an error, please supply a log of the actual error (gcc
crashing, etc).
Comment 3 Duarte Loreto 2004-02-04 14:32:46 UTC
I've got a different error...

cc1: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://bugs.gentoo.org/> for instructions.

The bug is not reproduceable, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem

Comment 4 Michael Crawford (ali3nx) 2004-02-04 16:38:48 UTC
i'm re-emergeing with a new partition... @ the time the compile failed there was 4.69 gb free on the compile partition so i can't imagine that gcc used over 4 gigs *just* to compile... http://h3x4g0n.eliteitminds.com/phpstsinfo if your curious about the disk layout
