Description Gregg Casillo 2004-02-03 08:16:24 UTC
I juat attempted to install realone, but I get this repeatedly, even after emerge sync:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-video/realone-1 to /
>>> Downloading http://195.141.101.151/direct/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin
--11:10:04--  http://195.141.101.151/direct/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin
           => `/usr/portage/distfiles/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin'
!!! Couldn't download r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin. Aborting.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge realone
2. get the tarball, rv9_libc6_i386_cs2.tgz
3. don't get r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin

Actual Results:
The error mentioned above.

Expected Results:
All necessary files downloaded & emerged.

Well, I can wget the .bin file from two other machines, one on the same home LAN as the PC I was having difficulty with. The other at work. Weird, but I'll accept it as something fouled up on the troubled PC.

I have the same problem
>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-video/realone-1 to /
>>> Downloading http://195.141.101.151/direct/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin
--17:22:08--  http://195.141.101.151/direct/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin
           => `/usr/portage/distfiles/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin'

17:22:08 ERROR 404: No such file or directory..

!!! Couldn't download r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin. Aborting.

I tried to wget http://195.141.101.151/direct/r1p1_linux22_libc6_i386_a1.bin on an other computer and had a 404 there too.

Could someone with the required permissions reopen this bug? Or even better, fix it.

You're better off with RealPlayer 10. Check out this forum thread for details
on getting it:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=205874

By the way, there's several bug reports filed asking for RealPlayer 10 to be
put into portage. Any chance of this happening? Please?
