It's much nicer than the mldonkey interface. From what I can tell, it is written in Java and uses SWT which gives it a Gtk2 feel (like with Eclipse).
Could you contribute an ebuild... it'll be much more likely to be included...
bouncing back to herd as I am not good at java-related stuff...

looks good, but there's a few things to change before I'll touch it- first, the copyright header. You have to assign Gentoo Inc. the rights for the ebuild. If you need more info about this, feel free to email me (You'll get credit in the ChangeLog and the cvs commit info, but Gentoo needs the header). Also, could you make it depend on virtual/jdk instead of blackdown-jdk?
Created attachment 33361 [details] A hopefully more acceptable ebuild of g2gui-0.3.0_pre1 Hi folks, I'm new to Bugzilla and mt .ebuild creation skills are still a bit lacking so please point in the right direction if I've made any gross errors. It's been a month since there was a post to this bug so I thought I'd have a go at fixing the .ebuild myself. I used Alexander's ebuild as the base and went from there. All's I can say is that it works for me.
I didn't like the startup script that you had being created; I changed it to a symlink to the real script provided by the g2gui people. A script to a script to the .jar file seemed redundantly redundant ;). Also, the IUSE="" line is required in there. The edited ebuild has been added to portage- thank you for your submission :)!
