Description Florian Streck 2004-02-02 17:21:13 UTC
emerge -v system stopped witha an error in flex.
It Complained about the file scan.c (the error message did not hint what the problem was).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.download stage1-x64 release 1.4
2.bootstrap
3.emerge system

Actual Results:
emerge system stopped with an error message

Expected Results:
completed the emerge

I also found the solution.
In the Makefile in /var/tmp/portage/flex-2.5.4a-r5/work/flex-2.5.4 is a command
to copy the file initscan.c to scan.c
This copy fails (dunno why).
Copying it by hand and then executing ebuild compile, ebuild preinst, ebuild
postinst, ebuild qmerge solved the problem.
After this "emerge system" continued withoud any trouble.

Anyway it would be nice if it would compile automatically.
