This manifested itself for me by causing firefox-9.0 to segfault when trying to print. I won't waste everyone's time with my own backtrace's and emerge --info, it is exactly the same as already recorded here -> https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/28118 A patch is available here -> https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543520 I have not verified the patch to work, but downgrading gtk+ back to 2.24.8-r1 did immediately fix the problem for me.
