This has been spotted in one of the 1.8.x versions and a patch has been provided, but it is pending for Asterisk 10 rc1. I'd like to request adding this patch to the 1.8.x ebuilds, as I need to urgently deploy it to few dozens of servers where an upgrade to Asterisk 10 is not an option.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.dial invalid extension
2.have the "i" handle to catch it in the dialplan
3.
Actual Results:  
see error in CLI: chan_sip.c: sip_xmit of 0xc2e1330 (len
843) to 0.0.4.26:5060 returned -1: Invalid argument

Expected Results:  
the operation defined in the "i" exten

This is already in 1.8.8.2; which is the stable Asterisk in portage.
