CDROM/DVD drive works fine with audio CDs, but nothing happens when I insert a DVD. The system acts as if the drive were empty, e.g. GNOME disk utility claims that there is no medium in the drive, and fails to eject the tray because of that. Reproducible: Always This bug is fixed in sys-fs/udev-171-r5, which became stable on amd64 recently. Thanks!
Requesting to close this because I can't replicate the bug. It occurs sometimes even with the udev-171-r5, so maybe it's not a udev bug at all. For information the error message is: Disc mode is listed as: Error in getting information ++ WARN: error in ioctl CDROMREADTOCHDR: No medium found e.g. cd-info produces this output at the bottom.
