Description Jeroen Hoek 2004-01-31 06:44:06 UTC
"Visual flashcard tool for memorizing the Japanese Hiragana and Katakana alphabet"

This an ebuild for Kanatest, a simple visual learning tool for memorizing the Japanese Hiragana and Katakana alphabet. All the "flashcards" with Japanese characters consist of PNG images, there is no dependancy on CJK fonts.

This program does not seem to have any dependancies besides GTK+-2.0 as far as I can find in usage and source code. The author's homepage confirms this. The build is quite clean and makes for a very simple ebuild.

Reason for submition:
Found it was missing.
Found it usefull.
Made an ebuild so everyone can get it without reverting to installing manually from tarball.

:)

ebuild for kanatest-0.3.6

Initial ebuild.

Is "app-misc/kanatest" a good place?

Excellent! Quite nice and tidy. I committed it to Portage tree.
(app-misc/kanatest) If you are in doubt about DEPEND, ldd will show
you a hint for what packages you would want to list. In this case,
x11-libs/gtk+-2 pulls in all the dependencies of kanatest, so you
don't need to worry about it.

Thanks for contribting the ebuild. Happy drilling ;)
