when quitting gnome with gdesklets running and I select the save this session button, the next time going into gnome it fails to start gdesklets. This is because when the session is saved in ~user/.gnome2/session it saves that process as gDesklets instead of gdesklets (caps to lowercase d) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start gdesklets 2.save gnome session 3.start it again Actual Results: gdesklets failed to start Expected Results: gdesklets should be working after I am running the 20040128 stage1, off of the 2004.0 beta (20040128) live cd. Gnome 2.4.1 gdesklets-core .25
I have the same problem with gDesklets-core 0.26.1. Is there a workaround? Gnome 2.6
There are 2 workarounds. One is edit the ~/.gnome2/session and change the session gDesklets to gdesklets. The second would be to make a sym-link. as root ls -s /usr/bin/gdesklets /usr/bin/gDesklets cheers. Dave
This works fine for me with gdesklets-0.26.2. Gnome automatically saves the session on logout. Can you please test with 0.26.2 and report back? Otherwise, have a go at David's workaround. Thanks.
No activity, sorry. Look for the upcoming 0.3x release if this is still a problem.
