This is running autotest & commit now. The test suite is at least 6 hours long, so I'll follow up on it not earlier than tomorrow.
1. there is a build regression that was fixed in 5.2.36 but is present again in 5.3, was originally patched with db-5.2.28-sqlite-configure-path.patch. 2. The testsuite hangs hard constantly, with no output to the terminal at all. If I go and kill -9 that specific test, I can see more test processes run, but still no output. 3. Testing some apps against it quickly (OpenLDAP running it's testsuite specifically) they exhibit hangs as well, so I think it's the release, not the testsuites. I'm going to close this and we can wait for the next 5.3.x release. When upstream releases new major versions the first few releases tend to be very poor quality: none of 5.2.1x made the cut.
