Description Craig Lawson 2004-01-30 14:23:01 UTC
When saving a Draw document in OpenOffice 1.1, OO has trouble locating it's own scripts.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install openoffice-bin-1.1.0
2. Create a new Draw document.
3. Save it.

Actual Results:
A bunch of annoying alerts appeared, each with a variation on the message:

  Error loading BASIC of document
  file:///opt/OpenOffice.org1.1/share/basic/FormWizard/script.xlb/:
  General Error.
  General input/output error.
  [OK]

Expected Results:
Silently obey my command.

The problem appears to be that OpenOffice is looking in the directory
"/opt/OpenOffice.org1.1" which does not exist. Emerge installed OpenOffice into
a directory named "/opt/OpenOffice.org1.1.0".

As a work around, I created the symbolic link:

  /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1 -> /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1.0

and the alerts immediately ceased.

Seems that an incorrect path was compiled into openoffice-bin-1.1.0.

This only happens if you had a prerelease of 1.1.0 installed before, as we have changed the install dir of ooo-bin inbetween you will have to delete your user install (remove .openoffice and .sversionrc in your home-dir) then it works again without the symlink. Sorry about that inconvenience.
