qmailmrtg7 uses qmail's excellent and extensive logging via multilog, tcpserver and qmail-send. qmailmrtg7 takes the pop3 smtp and qmail transaction logs and sends them to 9 different mrtg graphs, each graph with 4 historical time series.

Created attachment 24704 [details, diff] Buffer Overflow Fix + Spam Stats Please don't add this to Gentoo without first fixing the buffer overflow in it. I've got a patch I did for one of my own personal servers and have submitted it upstream on more than one occasion but inter7 wont respond or do anything about it. Needless to say I don't have really nice things to say about inter7 and am somewhat disgusted at how un serious they take security. Anyway my patch also adds some spam stats to extend in it's functionality. But that wont be a requirement for this, I'll attach either way and let the developer that chooses to support this make up his/her mind if they want that extra functionality.
Created attachment 25073 [details] overlooked qmailmrtg7 Ebuild - added dosed for FQDN in index.html (missed that) - added patch for buffer-overflow of qmailmrtg7 from solar@gentoo.org - added patch for statistics of spamd in qmail.mrtg.cfg dependent if MailSpamAssassin is installed
in depends, qmail is not net-mail, is mail-mta will this be added to portage ever?
works great for me.
For those who don't know(I was one), to use "overlooked.......Ebuild" you have to emerge app-arch/sharutils
Created attachment 75083 [details] qmailmrtg7-4.0.ebuild I've updated for 4.0 and attempted to cleanup. Removed the apache dependency, and the gentoo patch which now fails. The category should be net-mail. It could do with an extra patch to comment the ftpd/smtpds services which are not relevant.
No activity since version 4.2 (which in addition to qmail can also handle tinydns and dnscache components of djbdns), released in December 2014.
Anyway, this may in fact still be useful given neither qmail nor djbdns haven't changed much (at all?) in recent years either so the big guestion is, is there still interest in adding this to Gentoo? If not, we shall close this ticket in 30 days.
