Description Maksim 'max_posedon' Melnikau 2012-01-12 12:22:15 UTC
I'm using systemd with kmod with gentoo-sources. And always during boot at dmesg I see some modprobe fails. I don't know which modules exactly it was.

[ebuild R #] sys-apps/kmod-3 USE="compat lzma tools zlib -debug -static-libs" 0 kB
[ebuild R #] sys-apps/systemd-38 USE="acl lzma pam tcpd -audit -cryptsetup -gtk -plymouth (-selinux)" 0 kB

Comment 1 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2012-01-16 02:07:44 UTC
ll, I spoke with the kmod author, and he stated that this is most likely
fixed in git.

Also, the archlinux maintainer stated that the bug I added to the URL
for this bug might be the underlying issue, and he thinks it is a kernel
issue. That is why I am adding the kernel team.

Does anyone on the kernel team have any ideas for this bug?

Thanks,

William

kmod-4 is now in the tree; does this still happen?

Thanks,

William

Does the seame thing happen when you use module-init-tools?

Thanks,

William

> Does the seame thing happen when you use module-init-tools?
I upgraded kernel to gentoo-sources-3.2.1 and it doesn't happen anymore.
