Description Aydin Tarik Zengin 2012-01-10 08:30:26 UTC
kcalc fails with both the stable (4.7.3) and the masked (4.7.4) versions and this breaks the whole KDE upgrade process. I'm going to set this as Major.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kde-base/kcalc

Probably its the gcc4.4, try to upgrade to 4.5 and give feedback.

Not sure if this works unless I recompile the whole system but changing gcc to 4.5 still won't work.

> Found GMP: /usr/local/include

Remove your replacement, use the portage version and try again.

Still the same

Updated dev-libs/gmp to 5.0.2_p1.
Previous gmp.h was the one comes with the KDETelepathy but now is removed.
Comment 8 Aydin Tarik Zengin 2012-01-11 06:02:39 UTC
Solved.

It was because not only the gmp.h in /usr/local/include but also the libgmp.* files /usr/local/lib . I removed them all completely.

Since it didn't say anything about them in the logs, they affected the emerge.

Not it compiled like a charm.

Thanks for the help. This was the fastest response I got here.

Changing resolution.

By installing software manually on your system you risk to break it.
