Hi, i was just testing the latest lightdm-1.0.6-r3 and noticed my dbus notify-send scripts were failing. With the current version of lightdm tools like w, who, finger etc... don't show the logged in X11 users (only the console-logins). Reproducible: Always
I presume this bug needs to be reported upstream
Is this bug present in 1.1.4?
sorry for the delay, problem still persists: 1 strowi@Seth:~> w 19:04:48 up 3 min, 1 user, load average: 0,81, 0,95, 0,43 USER TTY LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT strowi tty1 19:03 54.00s 0.11s 0.10s -zsh only showing the console-login but not the lightdm-session... is it possible that this might be pam-related?
Could be. Lets see what they think.
In the mean time, could you report this upstream?
looks like someone already did: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/870297
awesome thanks
Seems problem was fixed in vcs: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/870297/comments/53 If possible, please patch portage package.

Well, this is not an urgent bug so there is no real need to release a new revbump of lightdm. I will wait one week for upstream to release a new version otherwise I will apply the patch.
upstream lightdm bug fix released
(In reply to comment #10) > upstream lightdm bug fix released where? it seems to be the bug is no longer valid not that they fixed it
