Description pi 2012-01-07 16:14:31 UTC
Since introducing net-misc/asterisk-1.8 and the removal of net-misc/asterisk-chan_capi-1.1.4.ebuild from the tree (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376273) gentoo no longer supports chan_capi within asterisk.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Actual SVN versions of chan_capi have full support for newer asterisk versions. An updated ebuild will be needed to get capi support back.

I successfully tested net-misc/asterisk-10.0.0 with revision 946 of chan_capi.

"Live" SVN ebuilds are not acceptable for use in the portage tree. As support is offered, each ebuild must install the very same set of files. I would suggest that you petition upstream to offer release tarballs with a version number, as is the accepted practice.
Once a release tarball is available, please do feel free to reopen this report and attach an ebuild.
