Description Geoff Madden 2012-01-07 13:16:34 UTC
This failure to mount boot means that the generated kernel/initramfs are not installed, which also means I have to rebuild the kernel again,,,, pain in the bum HEY

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run genkernel all with previous config substituted the genkernel config
2.build completes
3.
Actual Results:
modules installed but no kernel or initramfs

'etc-update' has been reported to fix this

*genkernel-3.4.21.2 (06 Jan 2012)

    06 Jan 2012; Robin H. Johnson <robbat2@gentoo.org>
     -genkernel-3.4.21.1.ebuild, +genkernel-3.4.21.2.ebuild:
3.4.21.1 accidently changed a default that meant no modules in initramfs,
leading to unbootable setups. Change it back.

You need to add "--install" to your command as its commented out in /etc/genkernel.conf

#INSTALL="yes"

Roger that ,,, I edited the file and all proceded as normal. all further operations regarding genkernel have been successful. So I recon this can be closed.
