I've follow those instruction in that bug and made changes to "eclass" I've modified: /usr/portage/eclass/xorg-2.eclass from: FONT_OPTIONS+=" --disable-all-encodings" to FONT_OPTIONS+=" --disable-all-encodings --enable-iso8859-1" and recompiled: media-fonts/font-misc-misc It did not help me.
