this one requires all... 3 3.1 and 3.2 packages to be downloaded seporately... I haven't read the ebuild yet,.. and I don't use the game... but I want to in the future! Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
the current one downloads 3, then the patch for 3.1, then the patch for 3.1 looking at the mirrors i dont see any '3.2' release, only patches even if there was a 3.2 download, i wouldnt update the ebuild for it ... i doubt the space savings of 3.2 standalone over 3+3.1+3.2 is worth the hassle for most people out there upgrading
I'm looking into it, new people get new latest version is the idea... and yeah they'll have to download 3 files. sucky... I just gotta finish downloading 3.0 so I can test it.
Typical Gentoo policy, ESPECIALLY for games, is to patch when possible to reduce downloads. We are not in the habit of making multiple ebuilds for the same product, because that causes more overhead for our team. If you're asking to have an ebuild to download *only* the 3.2 version, I can tell you that I won't do it, as there is already a version which uses patches, and SpanKY (the q3-mod maintainer) won't do it, as he stated before. I am going to close this again. If you feel that you want to discuss this further, please bring it to games@gentoo.org or one of us specifically, rather than reopening this bug.

Probably so... especially since there was already a bug the other day on this and it has been added to portage. That is probably why we thought you were asking for a version which only downloaded the "full" 3.2 rather than "patching up" to 3.2... sorry for any confusion.
