Description Jocelyn Mayer 2004-01-29 02:51:15 UTC
viewcvs needs an update, since Jan 28 2004:

# emerge -b --update --pretend world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
[ebuild U ] net-www/viewcvs-0.9.2_p20030430-r1 [0.9.2_p20030430]

But, when I try to merge it, I finally get:
# emerge -b --update world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) net-www/viewcvs-0.9.2_p20030430-r1 to /

<...>

!!! Couldn't download viewcvs.02.metacvs.patch. Aborting.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -b --update net-www/viewcvs
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Fails to download needed file.

Expected Results:
Download then merge....

I can confirm this.
Seems like someone forgot to upload viewcvs.02.metacvs.patch.

Bah, sorry about that! I uploaded the patch, but it may take
up to an hour for it to propagate to the mirrors. Closing for now,
but please reopen if the problem persists.
Comment 3 Jocelyn Mayer 2004-01-29 13:59:41 UTC
It seems that this one have to be re-opened:
it's been almost 36 hours since I tried the first time to merge this package,
and it's still not available.
So, it seems that there was a problem during the upload...
Is it possible to check this point from myself, I mean see if a package
has been uploaded on the main server ?
Comment 4 Grant Goodyear (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-29 14:45:57 UTC
Thanks for letting me know. Looks like we had a permissions problem on the
server; should be uploaded w/in an hour. Reopening until I can verify.
