gentoo-selinux-2004.0-i686-20040125.iso 25-Jan-2004 21:41 107M Locks up during "Starting USB & Hotplugging" I have tried booting with: nodetect nousb nohotplug Still try's to Start USB & Hotplugging. This is a Dell Precision 420 SMP p3@866 w/ 1GB Rambus 800mhz ram, aic7889 scsi card and 4 36gb scsi drives. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. permissive 2. permissive nousb nohotplug 3. permissive nodetect Actual Results: System locks up Expected Results: <prompt># to start selinux gentoo install
Note to myself: <LiveWire> pebenito: you using autoconfig? <pebenito> I dont know what that is, so I'm guessing no <LiveWire> its the script i made to start hwsetup and hotplug, etc .. its what gives you nohotplug, nodetect <LiveWire> brad_mssw put it in portage <pebenito> LiveWire: so how do I use it? <LiveWire> pebenito: it goes in /etc/init.d, rc-update add autoconfig default, rc-update del hotplug default
I can verify the freeze on a dell precision 410 500mhz pIII w/ 512 ram, aic-7880u scsi card and one 20 gig scsi disk.
I get the same thing with a 600mhz SMP p3 512 ram with an aic 7890 and 4 18gb scsi drives
I have uploaded a livecd to http://dev.gentoo.org/~pebenito/, please test. The nodetect, nohotplug, etc should work.
