The protocol irc is not in the ebuild of kopete:

Actual Results:  
Can IRC functionality in kopete.

Expected Results:  

I expected either
a) to see that I have to set the use flag "irc" to get irc functionality if it is optional, or
b) to get a hint that irc is disabled because it is not maintained, or 
c) to have irc functionality in kopete

Kopete no longer support IRC (see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=167884) since KDE 4.0.

These are probably remains of 3.5's ebuilds.

Irc protocol can only be provided by ebuild if upstream provides this.
