This is a right royal pain when trying to use. This issue has been fixed upstream.

Version bumping to current eric-5.1.7 resolves the issue. (simple ebuild  rename, nil ebuild changes required). 





Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge eric
2. eric5
3. try to cut/copy paste with shortcuts
Actual Results:  
cut/copy/paste shortcuts fail to work
menu equivalents work as expected


Expected Results:  
shortcuts should work


The url link appears to references eric4....it appears to have been fixed in the eric5 tree as well.

dev-util/eric-5.1.7 has been available in Progress Overlay since 2011-12-06.

Excellent - looks like its pipelined to go mainstream.

I'll resolve bug on that basis.
