When executing file -bi test.doc I receive the following: file -bi test.doc ; charset=binary This returns null to approving scripts on the server. Items like images and PDFs work fine. So far, docs is the only problem identified. no. this isn't a critical issue imo.
Not properly reporting MIME type? which defeats the purpose of file itself.. not critical? Interesting. It makes 5.09 useless.
