I'm getting on asterisk 1.8.7 when trying to communicate with codec: ulaw with asterisk 1.4.39 When I try to dialin on asterisk-1.4.39 I get an error: NOTICE[2414]: chan_iax2.c:9541 socket_process: Rejected connect attempt from 192.168.141.8, requested/capability 0x2/0x703 incompatible with our capability 0xc. How is the remote end configured? Not really a bug IMHO at this stage - please do feel free to join us in #gentoo-voip for assistance too. 1.4.39 definitely does NOT support calltoken though, so I think step one would be to explicitly switch it off, even though requirecalltoken=auto SHOULD work. Where is your IPs specified? User? Ie, does the incoming IAX/2 packet even match the appropriate section? The type=?
Please talk to jkroon on #gentoo-voip who may still be willing to support Asterisk 1.4 at this time. I do not. Use 1.8 at either end and it'll work fine.
SOLVED! I've tried adding requirecalltoken=no but it did not help. for some reason or another it does not recognized code: ulaw/alaw it was looking for gsm? I found it by truing iax2 debug ON Adding: allow=gms on both ends solved the problem
