this seems related to nepomuk ? here's 'emerge -v' output, there doesn't seem to be any special use flags: [ebuild N ] kde-base/kdepim-runtime-4.7.4-r1 USE="(-aqua) -debug (-kdeenablefinal)" (i had to emerge several times because at first kdepim-icons would fail because virtuoso was missing. Virtuoso was later installed by some other package dependency and kdepim-icons finally emerged fine). the important output is (full log attached) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- The following REQUIRED packages could NOT be located on your system. -- You must install these packages before continuing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Nepomuk <http://www.kde.org> The Nepomuk libraries Nepomuk extends the search and tagging functionalities in KMail and Akonadi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- CMake Error at /usr/share/apps/cmake/modules/MacroLogFeature.cmake:152 (MESSAGE): Exiting: Missing Requirements Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLists.txt:233 (macro_display_feature_log) Reproducible: Always

This looks like you have built kdelibs without semantic-desktop support, but need it. (The separate nepomuk package is the client program, the libraries are in kdelibs.) I can't really help you though because I have no idea what ebuild you are using... * Package: kde-base/kdepim-runtime-4.7.4-r1 * Repository: freehackers * USE: amd64 elibc_glibc kernel_linux multilib userland_GNU
