I did some major updates. I upgraded libpng and recompiled lots of stuff to fix that. Then I did an emerge --depclean world (doing newuse, etc before that). In all of this, gnucash got upgraded to 2.4.7, and it stopped working. I can't go back to 2.4.6 - no longer in the tree. revdep-rebuild shows nothing awry. I had this problem (also with a similar riddled backtrace) too USE=webkit emerge gnucash fixed it for me. Do you have webkit use-flag enabled?
