Description Dion Moult (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-12-21 16:27:44 UTC
When trying to build ffmpeg-php it fails to build. It works with ffmpeg table, but not ffmpeg ~arch. ffmpeg api probably changed and ffmpeg-php extension didn't keep up.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to ffmpeg-0.9 (~arch)
2. Try to emerge ffmpeg-php (also ~arch, which is the only option)
Actual Results:
See description.

Expected Results:
Emerge success.

Ran into the same problem just now, looks like ffmpeg-php hasn't had a release in over 3 years (last commit to svn was 2 years ago). Guess it's time to look for a different solution

added a patch fixing the build failure, it was big and non trivial, so it may break, please report me any problem you see, thanks!

Thanks! I'll give it a try tomorrow
